UberMenu 2.0 is a complete rewrite of UberMenu, and not all settings and customizations will be 100% backwards compatible. If you wish to upgrade, you should test to make sure UberMenu 2.0 will work as you desire before deploying it on a production site.

Depending on how your theme was coded, after installing UberMenu, your theme’s menu styles may continue to affect the menu. Removing these residual styles will ensure that UberMenu looks and performs as intended.
